Nellie Manktelow

Director, Internal HR

As the Director of Internal HR, Nellie is responsible for managing all aspects of HR for our internal employees, including developing policies and strategies in alignment with GoGlobal’s objectives. Having worked in international companies, Nellie’s aim is to support the GoGlobal team in navigating the nuances and complexities of working in a fully remote and global environment. Nellie is very passionate about HR as it is an ever-evolving domain that fosters relationships, touches people’s lives, helps establish culture and provides the opportunity to develop talent into top performers.

Nellie comes from a deeply rooted background in investment banking, having previously worked in Singapore, Hong Kong and London for over 12 years for European banks ABN AMRO and Royal Bank of Scotland. Apart from her work in the financial sector, she held senior HR positions in software technology (Ground Labs) and crypto (Sygnum Bank), covering multiple jurisdictions in APAC, US and Europe. She has helped teams and businesses grow in different stages and managed people-related business uncertainties in challenging times, such as the 2008 financial crisis, the sale of the bank’s investment banking unit and, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. Under Nellie’s HR leadership, the businesses established robust internal people and financial processes to strategically guide their long-term decisions.

Nellie has a Bachelor of Science degree in management with international business from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.

Nellie enjoys playing tennis with her husband, reading, traveling with her family and hanging out with friends and colleagues. Listening to classical pieces relaxes her, from the likes of Vivaldi and Beethoven and musical scores from Hans Zimmer. Nellie is constantly in awe of mountains and New Zealand is one of her favorite go-to destinations. She lives by this Buddhist quote ‘’Set your heart on doing good Do it over and over again, and you will be filled with joy.‘’
